Starter For Ten Residency

National Theatre of Scotlands Starter For Ten Residency 2017: During this two week residency artists Katy Dye and Aby Watson collaborated to create a work in progress performance where two women explored their relationship to technology, intimacy and nostalgia for an analogue past. They worked with video designer Tim Reid.

The Cat’s Mother

Work in progress collaborative performance with artist Craig Manson where two cats preen and play, seeking attention from their audience.. survival of the cutest? Performed at Håb Arts/Word of Warning Emergency Festival, Manchester Z Arts Centre 2017. Developed as part of National Theatre of Scotland Guest Room.



Flag

A woman crowns a new monarch and tries to persuade the audience to give them money. She finds a questionable symbol printed on the back of her mug, cosplays as the 90s and grovels on her hands and knees. Solo performance performed at Glasgow CCA Buzzcut Double Thrills 2016 and Camden People’s Theatre 2017.

Instruments of Torture

Collaborative performance made with artist/musician Zac Scott exploring music as a torturous entity. Performance made on Contemporary Performance Practice course, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, performed at The Arches, Glasgow, Into The New festival 2015.







Swan Lake

In Swan lake four brass band musicians played music from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake ballet in The Gorbals Swimming Pool, Leisure Centre, Glasgow. A one off happening posing questions of class, culture and use of public space. Made made with artist Sarah Short and four brass musicians whilst on Contemporary Performance Practice course, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, 2014.
